Vampires, Weres, and Zombies. All are hot stuff right now and most of us Witchy Chicks have written about at least one of them. I, of course, have Menolly—the vampire, and Delilah—the Werecat, and the upcoming creatures in my Indigo Court Series…and as far as zombies, you’ll be seeing plenty of them on the other side for the Sisters to fight.
I’m thinking about some of my fave creatures from the dark as portrayed on TV and television.
Vampires: well, in movies, it has to be Stuart Townsend as Lestat—I love him in that part, I want him, I lust him, I drool over him, and he’s one of the few bloodsuckers I’d show my neck for! ~grins~ Then we have Gary Oldman as Dracula, again, a to-die-for (literally) vampire in the remake of Dracula, one of the most luxurious visions I’ve seen of the legend. And who can forget Spike, off Buffy? Oh man, he could be my vamp boy any day.

I’ll skip Angel, Edward, and numerous other vampire portrayals on TV, though, thank you.
While I love Eric off the Sookie Stackhouse Series, I don’t really find he has the same regal energy as portrayed on the TV show, though I do enjoy the show itself.

Weres? Weres don’t seem as popular in movies, though I loved Natasha Kinski and Malcolm McDowell in Cat People—they both did a wonderful job.
And Zombies…well, the zombie of my choice is Rob Zombie, thank you—not really a Night of the Living Dead fan.
What about you? Who did a job so well you’d brave all the things that go bump in the night just to open the door and invite them in?

Spike, without a doubt, Spike. I mean does it gt any better?
Abigail, I think we're all in accord on that one-Spike has a permanent spot on my Top 10 Fave Fangs list. ~grin~
Thanks for throwing your fags into the ring with us. ~grin~
As for me...hmmm....
I'm in agreement with Yasmine's choices for Yummy Undead. Townsend & Masters were both sexy & deadly & even funny in turns. Oldman was just the drop dead classiest, most sensual vamp I can recall on the big screen. However, I must show love to Angel, too. I always liked him. The actor who portrayed Henry in the short lived Canadian series based on Tanya Huff's books, he was great, too.
Edward Cullen...in the books, he's okay; I liked him, even. In the first movie...well....we'll see how he does in New Moon. ~grin~
The newer crop of telly vamps are engaging me, too. I really do like Vampire Diaries, but I must say, Damon, the bad, bad older brother, is the better of the 2 vamps in my opinion. Eric on True Blood & in the books gets a nod from me, too. And the actress portraying Queen Sophie is delicious. Can't wait to see more of her next season.
Going well back for a classic vamp, David Bowie in The Hunger...just...yummmmm....
I loved the Underworld movies...which lets me cast a vote for the leading vamp & her hybrid werewolfvamp lover. I don't have much in the way of other shape changers that come to mind from the screen, though. (Of course, Delilah from OW holds a spot in my heart.) I am curious to see what comes out of True Blood in season 3; if they introduce Alcide & the werewolves form the books, I may add some faves to my list. And sorry, but Jacob Black, from the Twilight movies, just doesn't do a thing for me. Again, maye New Moon will change my mind.
And zombies...I just find it hard to be attracked to anything that eats flesh, drips flesh in gobs & bits, and has no concept of skin care. ~grin~
I have to say I disagree with you on Eric. I'd open the door and pop the KY for him any day of the week!! * Grins! * I kinda have this fantasy of being roughed around in bed. Not like love tap, but like BAM don't talk back!! (Not to say I find domestic violence amusing, but bedroom fun is fun damnit!)
Quite frankly though does anyone else notice how there really isn't anything spooky worth sleeping with on television or film that isn't a vampire? I want a gruff, big pecks, hairy chested werewolf to just devour me!! * Gets giddy! *
Jeremy....LOL
/facepalm... Here's hoping you get your werewolf...maybe he'll be under your Yule log, this year. ~grin~
Justine, don't get me to excited! I'll be up all night waiting for my yule log to be gifted now!!
<3
Spike from Buffy is one of my all time faves although I did get a kick out of Barnabus on Dark Shadows (the original.)
Carol, you are sooo right! Barnabus was awesome! Watching Dark Shadows was a reward I got whenI was a kid, if all my chores were done on time. Loved my Dark Shadows fixes!
