Welcome To December's Bone Magic Extravaganza!

Well, here it is, my last blog. That is, my last blog before the month long Bone Magic extravaganza of posts here on the blog!! (And there was much rejoicing.)

We're kicking things off tomorrow over at Sidhe Vicious’s blog and anybody who leaves me a comment over there (who is in either Canada or the US) will be in the running for one of 6 free books: 2 copies Dragon Wytch, 2 copies Night Huntress, and 2 copies of Demon Mistress!

So welcome to December at Life in the Fringe. We're going to be having a tremendous amount of fun on the blog this month: a holiday chat on December 6th, character interviews, contests, holiday posts, Bone Magic and Inked excerpts--all sorts of wonderful fun in preparation for the release of Bone Magic and Inked next month. So check in every day for something new.

Wish me luck, by the way--I'm so hoping to make it higher on the lists—and I'm also anxious to hear how you feel about the books. Bone Magic is my favorite book so far of all that I've written. So much happens and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

And for those who have asked about what they can do to help me make the lists and why it's important, pre-orders definitely count—but pre-sales (actually buying the book ahead of time) hinder hitting the list. The first week starting when the book comes out pretty much counts for all the marbles as to making the list and then sales after that keep you on it.

Nobody really knows all the ins and outs of how it works, but one reason why it’s important to get those first week sales in: the higher I go on the list, the more it helps me when it comes time to negotiate for a new contract for more OW books—and that time is coming up shortly after the first of the year. Anyway, so there’s a brief explanation.

And for those who haven't yet seen it, here's the Bone Magic Book Video (yes, I make these myself):

Welcome to December, and I hope your holiday season sparkles!
