Good Reads Contest & Reader Questions

Okay, a few assorted things here.

Second, we now have the new book plates so will be getting to the wrist band requests and whatnot that have come in this week.If you don’t know about the wrist bands, you can find out HERE.

Third, the answer to some reader questions as of late:

1. Is there any chance your books will be made into movies, TV?

Not at this time, because it’s not up to me. First a movie producer/TV producer has to express interest, then they have to do what’s called “Optioning” the book, which means they buy the option to make a movie/show, and that option lasts for a certain amount of time. Then they have to decide whether they want to do it and after that, it’s in their court. Most books that are optioned do not get made into movies. And so far, no one has expressed an interest in buying options of my work.

2. How can we get the wristbands? Do you have PayPal for the US yet?

HERE is the information. And for the USA—PayPal is extra work for me and I have to wait until after deadline to see how I can streamline it. So for now, international orders—through PayPal for postage. USA, please order via snail mail.

3. What happened to the forums?

They weren’t being used much at all and were a lot of work to keep up. So we now have gone back to a discussion list, and you can find that HERE. I won’t be attempting the forums again.

4. When is the Street Team info being sent out?

Andria should have gotten all the emails out to people who supplied email addresses and she’s contacted people via Facebook. Please check your emails/FB for messages. If you made it so she couldn’t message you via FB, you’ll have to provide alternate contact info. Please answer ASAP.

5. Will you mentor me in magic/witchcraft?

As I state on my website,no. I’m sorry, I simply do not have the desire/energy to take on acolytes again. Yes, I AM leading a small coven again, but I’m simply not in the position to take on magical students at this point. My career, family, & friends demand most of my time.

6. Will you come to (fill in the blank)?

I’m doing more traveling now, but am limiting anything non-local to big conventions so as to reach the most people possible. I don’t have time for extensive touring. You can find my touring schedule for this year HERE, and for next year, so far I’m making plans for: the RT Convention in Kansas City, MO in May; the RWA Conference in Atlanta GA in July. I’m hoping to do a local convention here in February and tentatively—if they accept me into programming—I may be involved in something in Maryland next November.
